Today’s KaiZen Prescription for Wellness:

Start Today. Pick a Health Goal and Go for it!

Each and Everyday we have a chance to start fresh.  Today is a new day with no mistakes yet made. Each moment is also new with no mistakes yet made, and it’s up to you what you do with those moments as they come.  You can use each moment to turn to good habits or to bad habits, it’s up to you. Using the KaiZen Approach of continuous improvement in each moment allows us to start fresh and keep going towards our goals.  Maybe you were a little off this morning and didn’t get your work out in- and the rest of your day is jam packed with commitments. How about parking the car a few blocks from your meeting and getting 2 brisks walk in. Do the same when you go to the grocery store and again work out your legs and your arms (on your way back).  Didn’t eat optimally yesterday, tell yourself that you will do better today, and start now with a healthy snack.  The key is not to get down on yourself, accept that you are human and you may make mistakes. That’s how we learn! Each moment you have a chance to put into action what you may have learned from past mistakes. That’s KaiZen, continuous improvement!  If you take this approach, you can take your goals to warp speed and not get in a “super stressed out!” state of mind.  No one is perfect or knows everything at birth, Life is a continuous process of development. Not everyone puts their mindset on continuous improvement but you can!  You can start right now. What can you this afternoon that is just slightly healthier than what you did yesterday? What can you do tonight that might just help your tomorrow out just a little more than usual. Ask yourself these questions and viola! improvement naturally occurs!

KaiZen’s Wellness Experiment of the Day:

Pick one habit you want to change and make a plan to start it now.

To help you stick to it:

1. Write it down. Writing your goal down helps you gain clarity.

2. Enlist a friend to meet the same/similar goal.

3. Ask for Help from a professional- At KaiZen, we are here to help with nutritional, wellness and lifestyle coaching, in general helping to get all your systems back in alignment.

4. Let others know about what your doing. By saying it out loud and stating your goal to the world-can help you “stick to your word”. Today’s Kai-Zen Prescription for Wellness:

Choose to align yourself with your potential.

Remember what you experience is up to You!

Everything your body and mind experiences is a choice.  Each day we make choices about how we treat our body. Daily we make choices about what we eat, drink, how much we exercise or move our body, and what stresses we choose to experience on a physical and mental level. The more positive and consistent your choices are on a consistent day to day, week to week basis, the more positive you will feel in your body, mind, and relationships.

Clients come into KaiZen so that we can ensure that their spine is in the best alignment possible to help their nervous system function optimally.  Remembering that by bringing awareness to what else you expose your body, mind, and spirit too can also aid you in bringing your body, mind, and spirit into alignment with not only your health goals but the rest of your life goals and choosing actions in alignment with your goals consistently practically ensures success! This is what the concept of Kaizen is all about and its what we are all about at Kai-Zen, a Creating Wellness Center where we offer our support in helping you to reach your goals, health and otherwise.

KaiZen Wellness Experiment of the Day:

Bring Mindfulness into Your Choices.

For a whole day, observe what choices you make with your food choices, your environment, your thoughts, your body. Take note of any areas of your life that may not be in the best alignment with goals you want for your life. Then note what choices you can start making tomorrow to begin to make shifts in your life towards living the kind of existence that IS in best alignment with what you want out of life. Remember, the state of KaiZen, slowly but surely with consistency you can accomplish all you desire. x

Today’s Kai‐Zen Wellness Prescription:

Share Your  Wellness Knowledge!

When you learn something that enhances your health and improves your life what’s the best thing to do with that knowledge? Share it! If we all share and spread the word about what has helped us feel good in our life then it can help others feel that good too.  Plus they say what’s the best way to master something? Teach it to someone else.

Kai‐Zen’s open space treatment area intentionally creates a sharing wellness environment where conversations about optimal wellness can be ignited and overheard. Your private health information is, of course, always kept with the greatest confidence. Kai‐Zen’s open space treatment area allows as many people as possible to hear the health and wellness information we share with each patient. You’ll often overhear the Kai‐Zen team promoting ways to provide good stress to your body; exercise, walking, eating healthy, chiropractic care, relaxation, meditation, yoga, massage, balanced relationships, deep breathing, positive thinking, acupuncture, and kindness. Overhear something of interest from a Doctor or Therapist while your stretching and exercising? Please feel free to ask for more information.

We know that everyone who enters through Kai‐Zen’s doors in Paradise Valley, AZ has knowledge to share too. At Kai‐Zen we are always on the look out for news and information that can provide our community the chance to move deeper onto a path of optimal health. Be Kind and Watch Your Health Shine!

AmEmbrace ColorToday’s Kai-Zen Prescription for Wellness:

Practice Random Acts of Kindness as often as possible.

Dr. Wayne Dyer, an inspirational speaker and well-known expert of the mind-body connection, states that being kind naturally boosts your immune system. Research has shown that acts of kindness raise serotonin levels not only in a person whom is acting kindly, but also the person receiving the kind behavior and even others who observe the kind interaction.  Serotonin is a brain chemical that has been found to illicit an immune response, alleviate such things as depression, headaches, and anxiety, as well as, provide feelings of bliss, peace, and calmness.

So be kind, every chance you get, and know that not only will your heart be filled with more joy and less stress but your immune system will be full of more vigor as well. Exponentially we could seemingly reduce disease levels all over the world if we all kept spreading kindness from one to another, since recipients and observers of kind behavior reap immune boosting benefits as well.

Isn’t it fantastic!? In addition to receiving superb chiropractic adjustments from the great chiropractic doctors at Kaizen, now you know you can boosts your immune system at any other moment you choose just by being nice. You can even boost your immune system while you are waiting to receive a chiropractic adjustment just by being kind to the person next you doing their wellness fitness exercises. Wow! Pretty great, huh?

Today’s KaiZen Wellness experiment: For an entire day to up to a week, do your best to practice as many random acts of kindness as possible.  Every chance you get be kind to yourself and others.  Observe how your body, mind, and spirit feel and at the end of the day report back your findings and let us know how it goes (You can do this easily by leaving us a comment on this blog).

Need some help to get started, here are 10 Kind Ideas to Implement:
